Job Description

​

SpringSpot is seeking a self-motivated and entrepreneurial Kids Camp Assistant who loves kids and wants to make a difference in the world.  He or she will join a talented and mission-driven team to delight and enrich kids in our Fall Camp. The Kids Camp Assistant will help ensure that each camp session runs smoothly, supporting the Kids Camp Instructor to facilitate activities, manage the class online, and help create a warm, welcoming, and fun environment for all campers. This role offers a great opportunity to build experience working with youth and build a skill set as a kids wellness instructor and to build project management skills.

General Requirements

​

  • High school diploma (some college preferred)

  • 1+ years of experience in the wellness world (fitness, nutrition, mindfulness, or related fields) 

  • 1+ years of experience teaching or working with youth (teacher, camp counselor, after school program work, coaching, etc) 

  • High proficiency with features of Zoom and Google Docs 

  • And…

    • Is enthusiastic about working with kids

    • Has excellent, clear communication skills, especially with kids and families

    • Is organized, timely, and accountable 

    • Is excited to support the Kids Camp Instructor 

    • Is creative, flexible, and excited to learn

Responsibilities

​

  • Manage the technological demands of a synchronous online environment with elementary aged kids 

    • Note: “Fall Camp” synchronous online sessions will take place on weekday afternoons from 4 - 5:30pm. 

  • Support with facilitation and implementation of camp activities during class 

  • Model activities and movements for the campers, as instructed by the Kids Camp Instructor 

  • Support with the development, coordination, and distribution of personalized “Camper Boxes” at the beginning of each camp session 

  • Attend weekly team meetings and respond to emails in a timely manner

  • Have additional passions and can bring something unique to a growing and mission-driven business to help drive the success of the business

Job Type: Part-Time

Salary: $300 - $500 per month depending on experience

​

Education: High School Diploma (some college preferred)
