Yoga has been a part of Valerie's life since 2008. Valerie completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification and internship at Nandi Yoga and teaches at Corepower Yoga.
She was first drawn to power yoga for its movement and playful spirit, and then to the challenge and pace of rocket and ashtanga yoga styles which she likes to incorporate into her vinyasa flow classes.
Valerie approaches yoga as a way to move, stretch, relax, and have fun. She seeks to help others find inner peace and be more mindful. It is her hope that we can make the world a better and more peaceful place, one breath at a time.
As a kid Nea’s family owned a gym/dance studio and she grew up being very active practicing dance, artistic gymnastics and later mixed martial arts. After finishing her degree in engineering in Sweden she spent over 10 years working in tech startups. When she arrived to the Bay Area 4 years ago she decided to turn her life long passion and hobby into a reality. Today she works full time as a power yoga teacher and multidisciplinary fitness trainer in several studios around the area. She teaches different workout formats (HIIT, barre, boxing, spinning, bodypump, bodycombat and power vinyasa to name a few). Her classes are known for being challenging, high energy and fun and she likes incorporating moves/exercises from the different formats that she teaches. In her free time she enjoys being active and outdoors with her family: road cycling, skiing and discovering new places are some of her hobbies but she basically just loves trying and learning new sports and workout formats. Her classes are characterized by being challenging, high energy and fun!
