The Story Behind
SHE-RAE CHEN
Founder and CEO
She-Rae, CEO of SpringSpot, is a former NCAA Division I gymnast who later juggled marriage, kids, and a full-time job. Balancing work, parenting, and household duties left little room for exercise. This struggle led her to create SpringSpot, aiming to empower families to prioritize health without sacrificing their own wellbeing or their children's.
Before SpringSpot, she held tech leadership roles at Apple and Amazon, spearheading digital media, mobile, and health innovations. She holds degrees from Stanford University and Harvard Business School, and is an RYT-200 yoga teacher, ACSM-CPT certified personal trainer, and PN1 certified nutrition coach.
Testimonials
"I liked the class (Cardio and Core) itself a lot. I think the live nature of the class together with the social aspect (friend invited me) and the convenience of being at home made it easy for me to join."

Our son was very excited about doing a weekend boost camp to prepare him for the upcoming flag football and competitive basketball seasons. It was great for him to hear from experts in the field and also to just hang out with new kids. As parents, we were excited about him learning from others about nutrition and overall fitness. He came home sore and excited each day! Thank you! He would love to do another session 😊.
Purvi
Parent, Boost Camp
My child was excited and motivated to apply their learnings after the first day and was ready to sign up for more boost camps. I was so happy he came home and proactively asked us to prepare a healthy meal for dinner. The two days at Boost Camp really prepared him for the upcoming basketball season and I can see how any athlete for all sports would benefit from this program.

"Your camp has been awesome! Again thank you for such an energetic, thoughtful and joyful camp!”

I cannot be more grateful for SpringSpot this summer! Being in year 3 of developing a unique and customized children’s camp, SpringSpot greatly helped us provide engaging and educational activities for our children in an easy way for counselors to implement. Our camp is challenging in that we have a variety of activities, ages, and quantity (up to 45 children per week ages 3-12).
Something we really value about SpringSpot activities was that they were fun for the kids, parents got excited to have a wellness element to their day, and the pre-made material made training our team easier and less stressful.
SpringSpot staff were easy and helpful to work with, came up with customized plans to accommodate our goals, and promptly engaged in ways to improve systems to maximize effectiveness of delivery with daily lesson plans.
The best activities that the kids loved included the emoji headband game, the wellness camps journal, and using our SpringSpot Power Up! cards on a daily basis to start our day! After the superhero meditation the first week I received two positive compliments from parents about how grateful they are to have mindfulness incorporated into their children's busy lives. It was nice for us to have a variety of activities that we could look through to meet children's energy levels for the day and pivot if necessary.
I highly recommend organizations to have SpringSpot assist with their community building and wellness programs and look forward to continuing our relationship with SpringSpot!”

She-Rae led a talk for parents at Bing Nursery School as part of our parent education series. Her talk was entitled, “Raising Healthy Kids from the Inside Out,” where she highlighted the SpringSpot FRAMES, 6 Pillars of Holistic Health. She-Rae comes with a wealth of knowledge on each of the topics she outlined including nutrition, movement and exercise, social connections, and rest. She-Rae was knowledgeable, clear, and relatable. As a parent herself, she could relate to what the parents of young children in the room were experiencing. She also made sure to highlight relevant research that backed up her suggestions. Parents appreciated that they were included in thinking about wellness on a family level, not just on a child level. She-Rae fielded the many questions from the group with thoughtfulness and provided helpful guidance on the topics that were brought up. We thank She-Rae for the wonderful talk and resources she gave to our families, and we appreciate the time she took to share her knowledge.

As a teacher at the Nueva School, I was lucky enough to get connected to She-Rae Chen, CEO of SpringSpot. She came in during lunch time to lead a talk on the importance of nutrition and exercise for students in grades 1-4. Her talk was child-friendly, insightful, and spot on! Even the adults in the room learned some fun facts, like that exercise helps the nervous system. Students were engaged, inspired, and enlightened following the talk. One student remarked, “My mom always tells me to eat my vegetables, but now I REALLY understand why!” Another shared how much more fun soccer practice is now that she knows it helps her brain to learn better, too. She-Rae is a kind and compassionate listener who took on the students questions and comments with grace and depth. I was really blown away by how much she packed into a 15 minute session and am hoping she will come back soon to keep building on students’ excitement to lead healthy lives. Thank-you, She-Rae!
